Each weekly session will be led by a professional local artist and trained Arts Award advisor. We will take inspiration from our heritage collection to explore and research various art forms including mono printing, clay sculpting and landscape painting. Meet our resident blacksmith and learn about this artform as inspiration for our clay work.
This introductory level course is available for home educated children, aged 7- 12, who must be accompanied by 1 adult. All 3 sessions must be attended to complete your arts award logbook and gain your Arts Award Discover certificate. The sessions take place on a Friday morning from 10am- 12pm. The course price includes entry to the museum for 1 child and their 1 accompanying adult, so you are free to explore the museum grounds together in the afternoon after each session has finished.
Please note there is a minimum number of 10 children required for the course to run. If you attended our Arts Award sessions in the Summer of 2020 then please do not book this course as we will be covering the same art forms. This is a repeat course for those who couldn’t attend the previous course. Accompanying adults are expected to stay with their children during the sessions to provide individual support where necessary
