Home Educator’s Day

19th October

This exclusive open day is for home educated children, accompanied by their parents, to learn about their local history and how we used to live.
Have you ever wondered…How did the Victorians teach? What does a wheelwright do? What was bygone laundry day like? What did the home guard do in WW2? How does a pole lathe work? Explore our open air living museum, drop in to a variety of timed workshops and free flowing demonstrations to discover more about our rural past.
A day at our museum would include plenty of fresh air, easy parking and a lot of fun. We would be pleased to welcome you! Normal museum ticket prices apply.
Social distancing measures are in place and please bring face coverings to wear inside our buildings. Group bookings are limited to 6 people or fewer. Please book your tickets via our website rural-life.org.uk/buy-tickets. Entry is by pre-booked ticket only
