October 6th : Car Boot Sale

Our Car Boot Sales, organised by the Rustics, begin at 8am and end at midday, free to buyers! Sellers can set up from 7:30am. The Café is open from 8am today.

October 13th : Land Rover Day

Land Rovers, the ultimate definition of vehicle dependability, will be on parade.  Rugged, reliable and always relevant, Land Rovers have been a major presence at home and abroad since 1948 when they debuted at the Amsterdam Motor Show.  Adaptable to almost any environment, they will be flexing their muscle and horsepower thanks to Southern Central Vintage Agricultural Club (SCVAC) who are based at the museum and are hosting the show.

October 19th : Super Saturdays

Activities will vary each month, but may include mini talks and tours to learn more about the museum and the stories it tells. There will be interesting demonstrations and usually you may be able to have a go! Sometimes there might just be an exciting extra features.

October 26th : All Hallows Eve (3pm - 6.30pm)

Look into the future with Madame Zizzi, listen to a ghost story in our woodland cabin or take a ride on the haunted ghost train. Join us for a creepy evening of stories and activities. Suitable for all ages.  Don't forget your torch!

October 31st : Activity Thursday

Find out old-fashion clothes washing with a mangle! There will be period toys to play with and of course the very popular rocket launching! The giant dolls’ house and period toys fascinate the youngest children, while others tackle the pole lathe and ‘milk the cow’.
