The Rural Life Centre collection is housed in a mixture of purpose-built barns and reconstructed historic buildings set in more than ten acres of delightful garden and woodland.
The site makes an ideal venue for a wide variety of different events and the facilities are available for hire so long as the use is compatible with the broad ethos of the museum's charitable objectives.
The restored buildings make an ideal backdrop and setting for film, television and theatrical work and items from the reserve collection may be available for use as 'props' both on and off site so long as adequate insurance cover is arranged.
We have many buildings in which you are able to conduct your talks and presentations, from the charming (and small) Chapel to the modern (and large) Waggon Shed. Normally, these buildings are used to house representative objects as museum exhibits, but these can be moved or re-sited if you wish.
