If you are a UK taxpayer you can choose to Gift Aid on your entry ticket, the General Admission ticket price includes then includes a small donation. When you donate to the Museum, we can claim Gift Aid from the Government.
What does Gift Aid give us?
For every £1 donated, we can claim an extra £0.25p from the Government.
We cannot claim gift aid on General Admission tickets unless a donation, of at least 10% of the ticket value is made in addition to the ticket price.
When the donation amount is added to the ticket price we can claim gift aid against the value of the donation + the value of the ticket.
When you purchase an annual pass, the whole value of the pass is counted as gift aid, and we can claim an extra 25% on the value of the Annual Pass.
We are not allowed to automatically opt you into Gift Aid, when you go through to buy your ticket, we would really appreciate it if you could select the gift aid option.
