Rural Crafts Team
The Role:
Rural Crafters generally meet at the weekend, particularly if there is a special event scheduled in order to showcase their skills for the visiting public in a busy setting.
We are looking for people who would like to become part of the museum team and impart their knowledge of historical crafts that may not be as commonly used as they once were.
We are particularly looking for people who would like to demonstrate trades such as signwriting, hedge laying, corn dolly making, leatherwork, basketry, willow weaving or wheelwrighting.
If you have a skill that is not covered in the list above, but you believe it would fit in with the museum's time frame and collection, then we would also like to hear from you.
Our ambition is to set up and deliver adult courses in a wide range of skills-based subjects, we are in the early stages of that, but with your help, passion and enthusiasm we could do more!
