Steam at Work 2026- Cancelled
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Rural Life Living Museum steam rally, Steam at Work on 22nd and 23rd August 2026.
The current exceptionally high fire risk, together with our commitment to health and safety, means that we cannot responsibly proceed with the event.
We understand this news will be disappointing, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this cancellation may cause. We greatly appreciate your understanding and continued support of the Rural Life Living Museum.
Tickets
Visitors who have pre-booked tickets for the Steam Rally will have the option to transfer their tickets to another event (excluding Christmas) or general admission day or receive a full refund.
We will be in touch with all ticket holders separately with details of how to arrange their preferred option.
Looking ahead, we are pleased to confirm that we plan to hold our next Steam Rally on 29th and 30th May 2027. Bringing the event to the late May Bank Holiday weekend, we hope to significantly reduce the risks associated with drought and extreme fire conditions.
