The Arboretum Tour

Learn about Henry Jacksons passion for trees during this tour of the Rural Life Living Museums arboretum.

You will discover trees from all over the world, which trees were favoured by the Wheelwright and why our unassuming horse chestnut is named after the Battle of Verdun.

Your tour may also include a glimpse into our Working Woodyard, a wheelwright demonstration and demonstration of our forestry machinery which are subject to volunteer availability.

Sensible footwear is advised during this gentle walk through our 10-acre site. Some paths and surfaces are uneven with tree roots.
