Volunteer

We are recruiting!

The Rural Life Living Museum depends on over 100 volunteers to operate. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our Museum, without them it simply wouldn’t be here.

Volunteers work in all areas of museum activity, from front of house in the museum shop, to grounds and buildings maintenance, caring for our vast collection, maintaining a wide array of working objects and most importantly showing our Museum to the public. We are a diverse community of people from all walks of life, all are welcome to join us in this beautiful place as we work to maintain and develop Madge and Henry Jackson’s amazing legacy through the museum they built in their garden. Have a look through some of the options available, feel free to click on any of the links to the various teams and apply, or, if you would like a more general chat about volunteering with us, please get in touch and arrange to come and visit, we would be happy to talk to you.
