Front of House Details

• Meets on all days.
Our Front of House Team are the first and last point of contact for every visitor, without them we would not be able to open to the public. We work on a monthly roster, so your commitment can be flexible, however, some volunteers like a regular day, and that is welcome too!
Front of House volunteers need to like people, have a welcoming smile and be able to talk to anyone! Some computer skills would be an advantage, however training in use of the till will be given.
Front of House volunteers meet and greet every visitor, ensure that everyone receives the same wayfinding information, and that the activities of the day are communicated. They are often based in the shop / café, which involves handling money and an eye for detail is an advantage.
Front of House volunteers are welcome to work with Kelly to develop our commercial activities, from the range available in the shop to working on private events, weddings, and birthday parties. On busy days, volunteers to help in the café to keep things running smoothly can be essential – a busy day at the Museum can be fast paced and intense, but always good fun!
